Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! is a puzzle video game released by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld system. It was announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2010, it is the fourth game in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series, and was released in North America on November 14, 2010.
Mario is sponsoring the grand opening of the “Mini-Land” amusement park, with his guest of honor Pauline while the first hundred customers get a free Mini-Pauline toy. Arriving as the 101st person in line, Donkey Kong does not get a free Mini-Pauline. Infuriated, Donkey Kong grabs Pauline with Mario and the Mini-Marios riding a train to save her. Mario and the toys must battle Donkey Kong until Mario can rescue Pauline. Donkey Kong is eventually defeated at the end, where Donkey Kong is on a Ferris Wheel.
In the menus, tap the stylus on any button to go to that menu or area. In Construction Zone, tap to select, tap to release or perform any other action. The gameplay controls are tap, hold, and release on two rivets to place Girders, Ladders, and Conveyor belts. If you tap a rivet connected to a girder, ladder, or conveyor, you will remove it from its original place. You can tap to place or remove any other movable object, such as springs. You can tap to Set off a Mini, but you can’t control it after you do it. In minigames, you can only use Girders. In the final boss, use a cannon to shoot Mini-Marios. First, slide the top to move it, and then tap the bottom to fire a Mini.
